chromie Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Well I have a 2002 Banshee that Leaks gas. I'm pretty sure the Carbs are dirty because every time I pull the choke out there is dirt and gasoline that drips out. I'm a complete noob but I do work at a car repair shop. Now my question is can our mechanic do this type of job. He knows what he is doing when it comes to cars but can he help me with this. Another thing I don't know anything about "jetting" or things like that. But I'm pretty sure it was jetted since it has FMF gold series pipes. Regardless the Bike start cold at the second or third kick. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 cleaing your carbs is vrey ez... unscrew them and pull the caps off... pull the carbs out and drain the gas from the bowls... flip it over and remove the screws to pull the bowls off... take out all the jets and clean them out and also clean the needle seat for your float assembly.. to check your jetting you should do a plug chop do a search in the jetting forums you will find a ton of info to jet your bike you just got to look around some..
