bonbon Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 so im taking the flame graphics off. they got baked in the sun and look like shit. i got the fender ones peeled but they left a lot of the adhesive. what works good to clean them up that isnt going to damage the plastic, and does ne1 know an easy way to buff oout all the scratches? bonbon Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 I tried WD-40 and it took off all of the little stuff, but on some sposts the entire adhesive is left and it won't dissolve it. I'm tryin to avoid scraping it so I don't scratch the shit out of the plastic but maybe I'll just have to, its just plastic......I may be shaving the front fenders soon anyway. I haven't tried the gas yet that might do it, I was thinkin that brake cleaner might work too. Thanks for the suggestions. BTW is there a special reason why everyone shaves the front fenders...just for looks or function or what? Quote
theshee Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Good ole bottle of acetone will take that crap off. I got a rad cover and tank cover from a guy that had a decal kit exactally like yours on it. Used WD for the big stuff, used acetone for the rest of the crap stuck on there. They looked like new after the acetone. Main reason everbody cuts them is for looks. Sand duners cut them off to because they dont have any function in the sand. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 took an alba graphics kit off with the same problem. i used goo-b-gone and carb cleaner. if I were you i would just chop the front fenders and save some time/wind resistance Quote

I'm sure there is some alcohol that would clean it up but I'm pretty sure that would be alcohol abuse......As far as I'm concerned alcohol should only be consumed by me when I'm not sleeping. LOL. Quote
