baddsheee Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Do I need to replace both front and rear sprocket with a new chain? What is the stock Chain length (15F-41R)? I am not sure what the stock chain length is but if you call a reputable shop they should know what to get you. RMATV has good prices. It is reccommended that you replace them together so that worn teeth don't shorten the life of the chain. I'm thinking about getting myself a chain/sprocket set myself. Don't know if to go with X or O ring chain? Hope that helps. Quote
theshee Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I just got a new X-ring chain and really like it. Got a new 15 tooth front sproket too, now I just need a new rear, mine is a little wore looking. Quote
dajogejr Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Always a good idea to replace chain and sprocket in sets. They do wear to each other. I've bought three chains off Jeff @ FAST, he sells them by the foot. I bought two gold X ring chains, and my latest non-oring for my drag bike. First gold was for stock, second was for my 6 over arm last year, this one is for my 14 over. He's got great prices....and quality chains. He knows how long to cut it at...give him a ring. Quote
differentstrokes Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Stock chain length is 104 and I'd also change all sprockets and chain at the same time. Quote
