pokeatyou2 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 firstly the i already have these 2 items i just have a couple of questions about them. the modquad intake with built in cross overtube does any body have these and if so are you happy with it? it doesnot look that much differnt to the boss intake. i have just installedthis intake i shouldnot have to change jetting for it should i? i just hope this in take is ok because i brought it of ebay thinking it was a boss intake but once it was installed i found out that it was a modquad one. also just installed a mod quad billet stator cover and was worried about sealing it because my stock one used to leak with the rubberseal so i used loctite gasket eliminator to create a seal between the case and cover . what would you guy have done? once again thanks in advance for your input Quote

I am am completely satisfied with it. I wouldn't think you would need to rejet based on that, unless the intake you are replacing was really restrictive. For the stator cover gasket I always just used Yamabond behine the aftermarket covers. Quote

Yep, that's what's on my red bike. To further reassure you that it's a good manifold, I used to make my own, but stopped because the ModQuad units were priced well enough and of a high enough quality that it was no longer worth my time. The only downside to that manifold is that it is alot heavier than it needs to be. Quote
