I put thes on my bike with a 50 and 155 in it wont idle for crap if you rev it up some times it comes down slow and some times it takes forever screws are 1.5 rouns out and i dont know what needle it has. how can you tell if there alky carbs and if any one knows how to fix this it would be great. and does any one know the right way to set the flots THANKS Quote
dajogejr Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 "round here" in the 39mm PWK carbs we use 55 pilots....sometimes a hair bigger. Turn the carb upside down with the bowl off. If the floats are level, or even slightly tilted towards the top of the carb opposite side of the needle/seat, you're good. When you say screws do you mean air screws....or the power jet screws? Does it have power jets? Quote

BANSHEEB0B Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 there is only one screw i can findits in the side Quote
BANSHEEB0B Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 the biggest drill bit i can get to go through is a 1/8 but i dont know what is stock Quote
dajogejr Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 If you can fit a .125 drill bit into the dump tube, it's been drilled out for alky. Quote
blueshee03 Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 i'd say if you got an 1/8 inch bit to go the whole way through the tube that they were probally drilled out. i tried a 34pj i have here and an 1/8 inch is to big to go the whole way through the tube.as i said if keihins are drilled and switched to alky there is no switching them back .the dump tubes are'nt changeable. mikuni's on the other hand can be switched from gas to alky and back again because the dump tubes are changeable.
