hollisatp Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I am not new to the area but haven't gotten out any place to go riding. Anyone have any suggestions of places that are close? I am in LA. I don't have my bike registered and don't have spark arrestors on my quad. Looking for someplace close to tool around a bit.. Quote

hollisatp Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 any better directions?? Is it a legal riding place? Quote
FireHead Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 El Mirage is about an hour or so away. You could go to Gorman, but there is a good chance you will get checked for a registration and spak arrestors. Quote

1sreamin350 Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 el mirage (high dessert) Is going to be the best as far as close by. Glamis would be ultimate @4 hours away though. There is also Pismo which is also good times... Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 You can ride at Gorman. Take the 5 Fwy North. It's about 30 - 40 miles past Magic Mountain. Good place to get down & dirty but it is an official OHV area & you would need those spark arrestors! Quote
hollisatp Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 any idea what those cost??? I have pro C pipies... Quote
CadillacBanshee Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I live in pomona and went to el mirage for the first time this weekend. No need for sparkys there, not even a flag. That place was bad ass. I usually try to stay close but the drive is worth not risking a costly ticket. Going back in 2 weeks if you're interested. Quote

baddsheee Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I live 15 min from El Mirage. It's OK. Sometimes the rangers will be at the entrance checking bikes for sparkys and registrations. I have never seen anyones in Stoddard Wells. It is up the I-15, and exit Wild Wash Rd or Hodge Rd. Off Wild Wash you park to the left and unload the bikes. I usually ride up to Slash X bar and get a bite with a pitcher  Lucerne Vally is pretty cool also. If you want to hook up to ride let me know, I won't be able to for 2-3 weekends. Got a new shift change. Quote
