LiftdT4R Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Is it an RS style plate or is it a mofied stocker? On the RS plate, the 0 line should line up with the split in the cases. Make sure you gap the pickup coil right too. It should be .020" if I remember right. Quote

You should use a gap guage, you can get them at Sears, alternatively you can use a matchbook cover, just spin the flywheel so the notch is right under the pickup coil, and stick the guage or matchbook between the coil and notch on the flywheel, you should be able to remove the gauge or matchbook cover with a little tug, not too tight or too loose. I reccomend the gap guage, it's only like 3 or 4 bucks, but most people use the matchbook cover, you can't really fuck anything up unless the tab hits the coil. Quote
