sanddunatic04 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I just bought a banshee from my friend. it was all stock. I put the Toomey T5 pipes on it that he gave with the quad. I just put on K & N clamp ons and eliminated the airbox. I dont wanna get into cylinder porting. I will later but for now what should i do next to get the most out of the motor. I am going to put on a coolhead. Which domes for stock port? And any other suggestions you guys have that i can do that will also benefit later when I do port work. Just trying to make little upgrades till I have more money for major work Quote

Just trying to make little upgrades till I have more money for major work did you rejet the carbs for the toomey`s? and yea get a noss head, pro. products and noss domes are interchangable. domes+ports=? domes have nothing to do with porting. they just make your psi/cr higher for more bang but you gotta find out how small you wanna go with how high of an octane. Washburn Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) Noss Head with domes you have to figure out how small you want to go with a stock crank without the extra weld. If you go to small 18cc or lower you are putting your crank at risk of seperating on you. a Noss Head with 21-20cc domes are fine for a stock crank and pump gas. Timing can be a factor for higher octane as well. Talk to David Noss he goes by dlnoss on here and his website is www.nossmachine.com Jeff FASTOYS on here also sells Noss Head and V Force reeds his website is www.farmandsandtoys.com Im at about 1800 feet above sea level and I run a Noss Head with 20cc domes on straight 93 pump gas (no porting stock crank factory welds) TR6 pipes, V Force 3 reeds, 300 main jets 25 piolet jets needle on the 3rd clip and Im kicking 150psi in each cylinder as soon as I put my timing plate in at +4 I will probably end up putting 1 gallon of VP110 to 4 gallons of 93.
