kawiking Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 im getting my bike back together and i decidied to have a drag port done. my mods are-- shaved fly wheel,shaved reed cages,+4 timing,shaved head .030,f.a.s.t. clutch,just been bored .040,hot rod crank. i use for sand drags and duneing. i run a +6 swing arm. my ? is what size carbs should i go with ?? and mukini or keihin ?? moneybags Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Are you still useing the stock pipes? If so get some after market pipes befor you get carbs. Those stock pipes are chocking the crap out of your motor. To answer your question get some 33 or 35 PWK carbs. Quote

You will not need to worry about the hurting anything or having the carbs not be big enough to make the motor run. Of course I am also the guy that has gone to retardedly great lengths to keep the stock carbs no matter what. If you are really into that sort of thing, you cane bore the carbs larger, machine the slide are to use larger slides from a different carb, and you can get large float bowls.......................... The above really isn't worth your time unless you just want to be different. A set of 33mm or 35mm Keihin PWK's are probaly what you will end up with. :thumbsup: Quote
