530grafix Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Iam going to by some toomeys either t-5s or t-6s (undecided), and my question is do you need to do anything to the throttle positioning sensors on the top of the carbs. The local steelership said they need to be adjusted after i jet and addd pipes. How? Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 The carbs dont have a tps sensor. That is a tors over rev system on the carbs. The bike will need to be rejetted and probably need the needles adjusted. Motion pro and toomey make kits to take the system off, because it is worthless. Quote
530grafix Posted February 11, 2007 Author Report Posted February 11, 2007 thanks for correcting me..... :shoothead: Quote
Banchetta Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 hahaha, dealerships, lol, you don't have to adjust anything but your jetting....The tors is shit, disconnect the little black box above the left exhaust w/ a 3 wire plug, disconnect the clutch switch by following the wire towards the gas tank to the next connection, disconnect the wires on the carbs (if you want). You can put electrical tape over the connections to keep debri out. Your tors will be disconnected and problem free....no need of buying the kits. Quote
