marty40 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Need a rough idea about what size of jets to put in my Keihein PWK 28mm's bored to 30mm. My motor had a mid to top end MX port job, modified standard reed cage with bridges cut out, duncan billet intake, paul turner midrange pipes, dynatek ignition, vitos cool head with 22cc domes (changing to 18cc very soon) Thanks, Martin  Quote

The mains MIGHT be rich, but better to start rich and work down.. Quote
marty40 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 Thanks for that. Will give that a go when we get the carbs on  Quote
jmd0346 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Banchetta. Do you know how the neeleds we got with this setup compare to the DEK, EEK? I got N80F. Im wondering if this isnt just the cheapest thing they had for this carb. CPW's website doesnt even list this needle. Im not sold yet on trusting a carb warehouse with my several thousand dollar engine. Quote
marty40 Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 Been looking on www.sudco.com ,one of the main keihin people and they dont have the DEK or EEK needles listed for the 28mm's. They have them listed for the larger carbs. The PWK 28's use a different series of needles from the other carbs. The needle that is in our carbs is marked N68X. Anyone any idea what this is equivlent to? Martin Quote
Banchetta Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Shit, forgot about that.....I tried 28's, 33,34Pj and 35's on my shee. They are all the same exept the 28's....try the needle they gave you, if it seems to hesitate a little and you tried changing the needle clips w/ no luck, then try a richer taper on the needle. I don't know the numbers, but I'm sure Sudco could tell you what the next richer taper one would be. The larger carbs are broken down differently....the first letter is the taper...."A" being lean and "E" being rich. Quote
