06BaNsHeE Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Might be stupid but has anyone heard about porting the cases? Also if its true is it pricy? Quote
dajogejr Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Pros and cons. If done right, can add a few HP, no BIG deal. It also gives the gaskets less clamping area....too. So...careful. I did my own, just placed a big bore gasket, got a sharpie, and carefully ground it away with a dremel. Was bored...no issues. NO, it's not pricey, other than shipping the top half of your cases...usually less than 100. Quote

Thanks bro always answering all my questions. My local builder was telling me I should do this when I switch my CPIs to Shearers and get a stronger porting. But again thanks man Quote
theshee Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Here is a pic of my cases that are ported. Bigred did these when it was his banshee... The only problem I can see with doing it is there is less space for the gasket, but I guess it works. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 LOL, I remember doing that shit. Ha Ha! Just took the gasket from my K&T ported cubs and laid it on my cases and took some of the material out of there. Not all of it, but some. I didn't notice any difference afterwards. Ha Ha! Quote
