bladesracing Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I'm having a 4 mil stroker built. I'm gonna use 36mm carbs, toomey pipes, dune ported cylinders, cool head. Should I run any advanced timing? What paddle tires should I use? thanks Quote
dajogejr Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Stock cylinders? I'd advance the timing 4 to 10 degrees...see how the motor responds. What size swingarm are you going to run? The longer the arm, the more paddles are needed. Also, what kind of riding? More duning, or more drag racing..? Quote

I ride the dunes a lot, but also some wide fast trails. Also any ideas on sprokets? thanks again Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 You may think about steppin' up to a +4 on the swinger. It will help keep the front down when you dump the clutch and still be pretty decent in the trails........... Quote
dajogejr Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 8 paddles, no more. with that engine, tuned properly on a stock swinger, it's going to be a handful. I agree...+4 would be much more efficient...and safer.. Quote
