tleavitt Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 1996 Banshee ran good at one time but now it fouls plugs and loads up with gas. We've never changed the fuel/oil mixture and the jetting is exactly as it should be. There are no obvious problems inside the carbs. The reeds are new. It has brand new top end. Stator is new. Thought there was a problem with tranny fluid getting into the crankcase so we tore it completely down and changed the seals. There is no tranny fluid burning in the top end. We were wondering if anyone has ever had problems with the coil or any other electrical. We jumped the spark on both cylinders and it looked OK. The spark would jump at least 1/2" at idle. The more throttle you give, the more smoke pours out the exhaust. Any suggestions? Thanks. Quote
sheefreak Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 When you say jetting is as should be, in reference to what? I am not saying you aren't correct, just to get a basis as to where you are at w/mods, carbs, filter setup.... Does it smoke bad all the time? If so, what color is the smoke? Quote
Handyman Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Like sheefreak said..It would be best if you listed all your engine and exhaust mods and you elevation. Different mods and exhaust set ups require different jetting, if that's what the problem is. Quote
