FMS50 Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 I just bought another banshee and I want to get a head for it. I have a noss machine head on the Banshee in my sig and I cant think of one bad thing to say about it. The new Banshee is all stock accept a stage 3 port and Toomey T5'. Being as this bike has a welded crank I have decided to up the compression. I have a set of 18cc domes laying arround and was thinking about installing them with a new Noss machine head. I took a look at trinity's sight and they have a head that adds 4 extra studs and they say that it keeps the head from blowing off the bike. I have never seen this happen and im wondering how often it happens to other people. Quote
differentstrokes Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 I haven't ever heard of it happening, seems like the o-rings would blow first and let all of the pressure out. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Fm...with a Dyna and 18cc domes, you're gonna need race gas... I'm sure there have been a cracked head, etc., but blowing a hole would take a big bang, like nitro, NOS or turbo induced I think. It might mean less lift on the head... You'll be just fine. Just buy new Orings before you install the head. Many will tell you to reuse 'em, for 20 bucks, unless you JUST put 'em on, why chance it? Quote
