Ok, I havent bean able to go riden for awile , cause I wrecked my 4runner. So I cant tell you what my shee is doing but do you think that I will need to move up to a 27.5 pilet jet. I have added the +4 timing and the VF3 reeds since I rode it last.

Befor adding the +4 timing and VF3 The air screws wear out .5 turns to get it to start with out hafting to kick the sh_t out it. Now the air screws have no effect on it and I am stuck kicking the sh_t out to start it.

I am at sea leval, with a curent 310 main jet, on the 3 clip and 60 degree weather.

have not changed main jet since adding +4 timing and VF3.

T-5 pipes, uni two stage airfilter, +4 timing, V-force-3, K&N airfilter lid for air box.

I know that their is no for sure answer but a guess would be cool.

Sorry for the LAMO question.

Your defenantly going to have to go up on your pilot and also propaply your main as well.I've found that with v-forces that mains need to go up by three from where it was without them. You will have to do some plug chops though to make sure thats enough or to much.

Your jetting is fine.

Clean those carbs out....completely. I'm talking complete dissasembly, one at a time, and remove all brass that you can. Use a speaker wire to clean up everything (all the little passages, etc.)

T5's, sea level, airbox with K&N Lid, 27.5 pilots are fine, and I'd almost say 310 is a hair rich as well.

Your bike won't start from sitting...not cause the jetting.

It's been my experience that V Force reeds you may need to LEAN the needle one clip...they actually richen the mid range.

Wow Dave we actually disagree on something.I will agree with you on the needles however.

I totally missed the been sitting for awhile in his post,So yes clean the carbs real good. Will be interesting in what he comes up with for jetting though.I think he'll be at 27.5 pilots and 330 mains.

moneybags,Let us know what you end up with.

Well, I put in some 27.5 and moved the clip up one notch. After removing the carbs to put them in. My shee fired up on the 5th kick with no chock. That surprised me. Also set the air screws to .5 out but did not mess with them.

I fired my shee up and rode it around the yard tell the neighbor gave me the look. It felt better

alot better. Asfar as onley being able to ride around my yard thats good for onley 1/2 a gear.

Asfor the main jets, I left the 310 in for now cause the weather is onley getting colder. It might be awile tell I get to go riden agin.

I will let you know what's up asap.

It's all good...Kai...:)

Yeah, with your neighbor giving you the look, I'm thinking a plug chop is out of the question....

Actually got a few snow flakes here today as well...so, Winter's about here.

Good luck, keep us posted!

I went riding today and had a blast. Once I left my house, I rembered the new plugs that I had sitting at home. And did not go back to get them.

As for my shee it must have been running pritty good. Cause, the carb jetting was the farthest thing from my mind.

I can email a pic of my spark plug to somebody. If they want to try to post it for me. Thad be cool

P.S When I went riding I saw a cupple of kids on a new 400EX. I'll bet that he went home and shot himself in the head for not buying a banshee..... :banghead: :banghead:

most, dang near all, piped banshees need either a 27.5 or 30 pilot, very very rarely a stock 25. so, yes, that's a good guess that you need to go up.

rule of thumb trick:

* if you can start the motor w/o the choke when it's dead COLD, then your too rich on the pilot.

* if you need/have to use the choke when the motor is WARM, then your too lean on the pilot.

I don't see anywhere in this thread about you shaving your head or having smaller domes. You're wasting your money on race gas/pump gas mix. +4 timing will run on premium pump gas all day long, stock compression....

I'd use Yamalube @ 32:1...

Need to cut the threads off that plug, and zoom in closer.
