SLIDES ARE IN BACKWARDS

wat kinda problems can i expect the bike to have if the carbs slides are installed back wards?

Real, real hard starting, running like dog shit until at least 1/2 throttle.

This is too easy to check and not guess.

 

The slides have a little cutout in the back. If you can see the little "arch" of a cutout through your airbox, they're fine....if not, they're in backwards.

From what I have read from other because it has never happened to me is.

 

1. It wont start without spraying something in the carbs.

2. If it does start the idle still be REAL high because the slides arent closing.

 

I would say those are the 2 most common.

well tht might be my problem the bike will not idle and ive tried adjusting the screws on the carbs, the throttle cablre and nothing....

 

i removed the air fliter and noticed there's a str8 line, and no curve over the back of the slide?

Take 'em out...there should be a little arch.

I just had the same exact problem after installing my twist throttle kit.. Bike wouldn't idle, ran ultra rich.. Kept bangin my head against the wall.. And finally realized they were backwards in there..
