bansheefreak Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 few things to check... choke tube between the carbs... also make sure your slides are in the right carb .. if wrong they will be in backwards and run like choke is on... Quote

dajogejr Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 When it's running, spray some carb cleaner all around the VForce Reed cages, see if it dies down. Good idea to use hi-temp RTV on the gaskets when you put reeds in... What pilot, main jet and needle clip position are you using? Also....what temps do you ride in, and what's your eleveation? Quote

dajogejr Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 If you're running POD filters, (No Air Box) stop running that bike now. You need a 320 to 340 main jet....trust me, 280 is too lean. Get 340s and work your way down. Quote
x the big hit x Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 alsooo i pulled the right plug..with one that sparks on every other rotation..and theres oil on the plug..if that helps anyone diagnose(sp)..thanks again Quote

dajogejr Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 The slides could be put in the wrong way so that the notch at the bottom faces the wrong way and not letting the slide go down the whole way. Sort of...If the slides are in backwards, they will shut all the way and there will be NO cutout facing the rear....so it won't idle....and low speed RPM will totaly blow.... Quote
x the big hit x Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 yes i have the pod filters..and the slides are definitely facing the right way.. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I don't care what came in that kit, and what Toomey says....your mains are way lean. glamis is very close to sea level, and probably 75 degrees or better. You are going to wreck that motor if you keep running it that lean. 320 to 340 is the average. I'd take the reeds back off, make sure all gasket surfaces are clean and use a small, thin coat layer of hi temp RTV to seal the reeds. You don't have a boost bottle, by chance...do you? Once it's sealed up, start it up and spray the intake area down with carb cleaner to try and isolate a leak. If it doesn't die out...or bog bad from the spray, take it for a ride. Did you put the TORS removal kit on? Did you sync the carbs? Do you have 25 (stock) or 27.5 pilots in there??? Quote
