do a compression test and pull the head. for all we know the exhaust oring could be blown out. that will make it sound like that.

yeah i duno, i doubt that noise is an exhaust O-ring cause i replaced mine a month ago or so & all it did was leak oil down the front of the cylinders, i'd say time for a rebuild for sure snaped ring or broken skirt, but we won't know until he pulls the head of now will we Eh ! doesn't sound nice tho :yucky:
