Pulled the head to change it because I saw some cracks in the dome. The head pulled off beautifully with absolutely no tears or sticking of the gasket. Can I re-use this gasket or do I have to buy a new one.

Thanks

I have reused the before, but it's not a good idea, they don't compress like they are supposed to after they've been used, so you might get an air leak. I don't chance it unless I'm in a bind for time, $12 vs. a New Pistons, Rings, and Bore if you have an air leak, I think I'll take the $12.

Other than making it look new  what does spraying it with aluminum spray paint do? Are you talking about that high temp gasket maker spray stuff?

Like i have always said , reusing a gasket is like re using a condom. :yucky:

on my stock motor i am using a head gasket that is from a 98' banshee. It was a customer of mine, when i rebuilt is bike, that had never been apart, i took the old head gasket and put it on my stock engine.

I've sprayed them with copper coat and reused them also, when in a bind. I also melted a piston on an ATC250R that-a-way, when it leaked. Win some, loose some. $12 is cheap insurance.
