My banshee ran fine 5 months ago. And hasn't been started since. I had turned my gas off too. I want going to statt the shee today for the first time in 5 months. I was going to drain the gas since it was probably bad, but no gas in the tank?? Put new gas in and try to start it. It seems like it locked up, bc it will bearly kick (Extremely hard to push down the kick starter). I heard that gas could have leaked through the carbs and into pistons. So I take out the plugs and try to kick it. Kicks easy as butter and alot of gas did shoot out. I put the plugs back in it and try to kick it, the same thing happens again (can't kick it, too hard). Any thoughts?????

are sure it was fuel that blew out and not water make sure you dont have a internal coolant leak water and coolant doesnt compress like fuel does other than that thats really weird

If it is fuel, you have more than one problem. Gas turned off and still going to carbs means the little ruber piece behind the valve (in the petcock) is bad. Fuel going past carbs and into engine means floats are sticking. Should have been some fuel out of overflow (tube on bottom of carb) though unless it is stopped up also.

I have parked the bike in the garage and forgot to turn the gas off. Several days later, I come home from work and the gallon and a half or so that was in the tank is now all over floor. The cylinder also had a lot of gas in it.

If it is fuel, just take the plugs out and kick the hell out of it. Once you get down to just a little fuel then lite the cylinder, then replace plugs and try again. If it is coolant leak then you are just going to kick the hell out of it and get what you can out, but the water in the bottom of the case is going to pose an extreme problem. You may have to remove the motor or find a way to tip the bike over and drain the water out. Either way I don't envy you...........

If it won't kick over easily then stop and try to drain cases. You can compress air, but you can't compress liquid, it acts as a solid and you are going to bend or break something. A large amount of liquid in your cylinders or case will cause major problems if not taken care of properly.

Good luck man............
