dubbin337 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I want to have my a-arms powder coated but im not sure how to remove the ball joints. Just wandering if anyone knows what kind of tool i need and where i can find it. I dont have any pics so i have included a picture of Slayer1018's bike to show what im talking about. Quote
odaen Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 You need to get a ball joint remover from Yamaha for an 87 warrior. Then, you'll need to turn it down some to fit inside the shroud. Apply some heat to the ball joints, cause they use use red thread-lock on them. Good luck  Those badboys are like $35 each. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Not that this answers your question but can you mask off where coat not needed? Quote
