tonyown Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 fmf fatty's, pro design air filter without top of box... aprox 1000ft elevation actual's 270 main jet I ran the shee all summer with this jet but some people told me it's too rich and when I changed my head there was a lot of oil on piston and plugs I mix 50:1 motul 800... summer temperature's aprox 68-86 and now temp's 50-23 can I run my 270 main at this temperature or I have to get bigger? and this winter temperature will be between -4 to -31 (Canada/quebec brewwww) Do you guys recommend to use something to keep heat to the engine as an heat shield in those temps? thank you if you take time to answer some of my questions! There is no substitute for a proper plug chop to tell you for 100% certain. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html And, you'll probably have to jet richer for Winter....normally one bigger size main for every 20 to 30 degree drop in temps (Farenheight, btw)...if your bike is jetted properly to begin with... You do not need to do anything to keep heat in the motor, just make sure you take your time warming it up completely before you go tearing off on it....and check that jetting!!! Quote
