QUADRACER70 Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Hey guys I just bought my son a 2000 banshee it has Toomeys, twist throttle, 250w ricky stator and the TORS removed. ANYWAY I went to Dumont this weekend and it was running like a raped ape for about an hour then it wouldn't hold 1st gear. at about half throttle it first gear it was poping and stuff sounded like rev limiter. I let it cool down for a few hours and ran it again and it was running like a raped ape for about an hour then it wouldn't hold 1st gear AGAIN. I changed out parts from my 96 Shee " coil, voltage reg, the CDI was a different plug so no go with that, but it still did not help. I am running out of options HELP PLEASE............. Quote

Sounds like you are losing compression and the bike is dying. I don't think there is anything electrical that would make it stop running due to temperature. I may be wrong and i am sure you will get some good info on what it could be.
