Hey guys I just bought my son a 2000 banshee it has Toomeys, twist throttle, 250w ricky stator and the TORS removed. ANYWAY I went to Dumont this weekend and it was running like a raped ape for about an hour then it wouldn't hold 1st gear. at about half throttle it first gear it was poping and stuff sounded like rev limiter. I let it cool down for a few hours and ran it again and it was running like a raped ape for about an hour then it wouldn't hold 1st gear AGAIN. I changed out parts from my 96 Shee " coil, voltage reg, the CDI was a different plug so no go with that, but it still did not help. I am running out of options HELP PLEASE.............

I could be off on my guess but I would try doing a cold and warm compression check on it. Sounds like you are losing compression and the bike is dying. I don't think there is anything electrical that would make it stop running due to temperature. I may be wrong and i am sure you will get some good info on what it could be. Between everyone here on the site there is no problem we can't fix...someone will know what to do.....Welcome to the HQ

Sounds good, but the top end has just been rebuilt. 4 hours of ride time on it.

THANK YOU THOUGH I will check it anyway
