emag Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 I'm new to this forum, this is pretty cool. Anyways, I have an 97 Banshee that is leaking gas from the right carb overflow tube at the bottom. This occurs of course when the petcock valve is in the on position. Gas just flows out in a steady stream. The bike runs great and doesn't seem to flood itsself. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea of what I should do? Thanks in advance. Quote

Thanks in advance. mine did this too , what i did was tear open the bowls and clean everything out--- and the barrel that the float needle ( not sure on its exact name)floated in, its just a lil gold thing , it had some burrs in it causing it to stick and let gas flow out , i just sanded it down and put it back in and it worked fine ... emag Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 I decided not to tackle this and took it to the shop. You guys were both right. I'm going to go ahead just rebuild both carbs. Anyways thanks for the responses. Quote
