michigan_soler Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 i always thought a good mount location would be done at the lights... remove one of them and mount it there. then its pretty protected if you do flip. Quote
The Faster Cracker Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 i made one for my digital camera out of an old helmet. I made a "u" shped holder out of some wood and lined it with egg crate foam. I then epoxied it to the top and duct tape holds it in there really good. got some billy bad ass shots form it. Can look at other people riding and get some bad ass close up shots going on jumps or i like to circle them while they are riding the track or dragging, or riding wheelies. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 That's some good shit right there, love front row seat videos!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 unless you have something to help absorb the viberation im betting the video is going to suck... digital cameras tend to auto focus when ther get raddled around alot and look like shit, you should try to rid it to you casue your body dosnt move as much as the bike... i know you and most of us dont feel like spending this money on something like that but they make helmet cams that are small so theres nothing to get in the way as well but they are like 200 bones. [email protected] Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 i got this tip from a sky diver teacher i had in culinary school . Get a helmet cam that they sell for jumping . it mounts to any helmet. Cant remember the name but go look. Kinda cool to have it on a helmet because you can turn your head and show what you really are doing behind the weel , and have someone else film you from a differnt angle . really makes for cool video editing. ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88 Posted October 14, 2006 Author Report Posted October 14, 2006 well i got the top to a trypod and it swivels so i can turn it to my face and lock it in place. so it will be pretty sweet.but i couldnt get the video camera today because the teacher wasnt there so the video will have till wait till monday.
