I currently have FMF SST's and am thinking of trying some T5's or ?? My question is will I have a noticable performance increase? Other mods on the bike are a dune port/polish, Coolhead w/20cc domes, +4 timing, stock carbs. I only ride dunes but I like to have some low end so I dont think I want a pipe like CPI or shearer. Any suggestions

I like the T5s....better than the FMFs. But, the FMF are a fine pipe, don't get me wrong.

It's a tough call...the dune port you have might favor either pipe, I'd ask who ported it and see what they say.

It'd be pretty safe to say T5's don't have the bottom end of FMF..but, they have a bit more on top...and "hit" harder. Shaving the flywheel takes off some of the hit because it'll rev quicker.

They're both fine pipes, however....so, I honestly don't think it's worth the investment, you can spend that money elsewhere for a few ponies, like some 28 or 33mm carbs to help it breath a little better.

Trintys are a good comprimise I have compared t5s cpis and trinitys. All are good pipes the trintys are stronger than the t5s all the way threw the power in my opinion and are very close to the cpis the diffrence between the two was not very noticable to me.The trinitys pull a little harder on the bottom and fall off a tad eairlier. The quality of the trintys are better than any pipe on the market.

I've been wanting to try a set of Trinity's Stage IV pipes. Hear they compare real close to CPI's as far as top end but also have a little better low end. Any happen to have a dyno comparison of these 2?

I also have a pipe here that is a old school FMF gold which I guess was called a Torque. I had it on ebay for a few and had a guy send me a message saying that he runs these pipes on all of his banshees and said when he dynoed them out that the FMF put out like 2.3 horse more than the CPI's did. Wish I had the left side so I could throw them on and see what kind of a difference I notice.

It would suprise me if a fmf pulled more than a cpi.Im running a 4mill cub and ive never had it on the dyno but when i built it Dan hull said proably a 2-4 hp diffreance in the trinitys and the cpis but the trintys would have a better curve.I was not running the cub when i compared them, but i doubt the difference woud be more than 1hp on most setups. I would like to try some sheares but I havent been able to pick a set up.The setup i was running when i compared them was a drag port 350 proably in th 65hp range. In my opinion the little diffrence between the twos performance was more than made up by the fit and dinish quality of the trinitys.

Yeah the Trinitys do look excellent from the pics I've seen. Didnt really have any fitting issues with my CPI's. I hear alot of times that the silencer mounting tabs are welded on crooked but bought mine used with the CSFX silencers so no issues there. I guess mine are also triple plated show chrome by Cascade. I dont have any other sort of chrome pipe to compare them to as far as finish goes but they do look good.

The trinitys are stainless.Get em hot wipe em off and go.They dont shine quite like chorme but they shine a lot longer. They also use orings in all the joints. Its a real nice setup.
