just got a new 87' shee and runs good but decided to check compression...it was around 90 for both cylinders so i pulled the head and its stock pistons and bore...but the cylinder walls are good and clearance isnt to bad...you guys think i could get away with a hone and rings for alittle while...want to ride it some before sending jugs off

I would hone the cylinders to break the glaze, wash them out, then remeasure clearances. As long as the pistons are within specs....and new rings have the proper end gap...go for it.

Ya as long as you can hone the cylinders to clean them up and still have an acceptable piston to wall gap and good ring end gap then you can get away with just re-ringing.
