So I have had a membership here for quite awhile. I originally got it when i had my 96 a couple years ago. I sold it after college, figured i wouldnt have tme for it anyomore. Well a friend and myself went down to the dealer to pick up some parts for his bike, and i made the mistake of wandering to the used bikes-

Long story short I put a 98 banshee on my Visa-

Being used they couldn't tell me much about it, i think i knew more about it then the tech that looked it over.

its got T5s, a cool head, (not sure what domes i didnt see it etched anywhere), twist throttle, its running race gas, i am going to check compression to see if it really needs it...

it is insanley more powerful than my 96 which leads me to believe that it has been worked over pretty well. I think I also set a record for the amount of time owning one before wrecking it- stood it up 12 oclock in my driveway on accident (my old one wouldnt come up that easy) dragged my ass down the length of the driveway, reached for the handle bars to save it and hit that twist throttle- it was all over at that point- hit the fence and rolleed it to the right side-

bent the right upper A-arm and broke the brake lever- (and plenty of road rash for me)

Yea- first thing is new A-arms, ditch the twist throttle, then try and figure out what has been done to the thing-

I have been riding since i could walk and this is the first machine that actually scared me-

Any hints to telling if it has been rebuilt w/o a tear down-

I figure find out what domes Are in it then compare that to the compression its got...

I am looking at these A-arms right now- any input ( i know they arent the greatest but I have a budget and I dont ride that hard) any input would be apreciated-
