icprey Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I got a good deal on a couple of machines and one rolling chassis has to go. I have (rears) two sets of 9 inch rims(stock) and two sets of 8 (itp)inch rims(one steel) and the chassis needs to have a set of wheels go. All tires are equally used so this doesn't concern me. Which set should I let go. Can somebody explain to me the difference/benefit of these rim sizes. I will mostly be trail riding and doing some winter riding. The eights both have 4-snows and the 9's have maxxis sure-traks(?). Even though they came from diffferent sources they had the same tires mounted!! I'll be replacing with 22's so I think I have to keep at least one set of 9's. The other 9's are the roughest looking, but one set of the 8's is ITP steel wheels. All the others are alum. Thanks for any input. New to most of this. Quote
