Whats goin on guys this is my first post since being a member to the site. I have a 2003 banshee which i will be gettin some pictures of up soon but i have a question about the jetting. I ordered a set of toomey T5's and a k&n intake system and was wondering what the best jetting settings would be? these are my only engine mods so far and i am takin it to the shop without the pips or airfilter on it and wanted some numbers to give them so it would run well when i got it home and put the pipes and airfilter set up on it. i would greatly appreciate it

well man i hate to burst your bubble but we need more info... your altitude and temp are the biggest factors on what jets your going to need to run.

Sorry about that, my altitude is in the range of 0-1500 feet and I live in Maine so the average temp is in the 60-70 range

When you say K&N intakes...do you mean a filter that sits in your airbox, or the pod filters that clamp on the back of your carbs and remove the airbox all together?

Example A. With Airbox, no lid.

280 Main, stock needle on middle clip, 25 pilots (stock) 1.5 turns out on the air scew...

Example B. K&N Clamp on pods, no airbox

340 Main, stock needle on middle clip, 25 pilots (stock) 1.0 turns out on the air scew...

Check your plugs from there....this is only a starting point, but should be safe for your temp and altitude...

I ordered a kit from alba to keep the airbox intaked and connect the K&N to that, do alot of trail riding so i would like to keep the airbox on, thank you for the last advice

260 main.

If you're gonna mud, leave the lid on...

But, I'll say it again, if you're gonna mud, you bought the wrong machine.

Normal, dirt and dustry trails, leave the lid off once you get the alba kit.

The outerwear lid is like a fine screen, that will most definately help...instead of a lid.

It will not keep water and mud out but it will help with dust and dirt.

You will get better performance by removing the lid...but, your call.

Do you think that i should wait for the exhaust and airfilter to come in before taking it to get jetted or do you think i will be alright with these jetting settings

so i got it all jetted with the pipes on, the guy at the shopp put a 280 main in it and i am running the airbox with no snorkel and he says its right on edge, do you think i should just remove the lid completely, im afraid it might run a little too lean and get hot fast
