Bansh-eman Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 hey my shee has the key overriden on it but the guy i got it from still had the wires and the rubber thing zip tied to the bike near the bars.. if i unplug the key will it still start? im trying to clean up the look some and eliminate some of the extra wires and shit .... Not real sure what ya mean. Two of the wires that lead to the key switch (not sure wich two) can be twisted together to bypass the key switch, then you can get rid of it. Or you could unscrew the key switch from the plastic holder and let the switch hang by the radiator and still use the key switch. Its out of sight under the radiator cover. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 ill have to take a pict of it next time i got to my buddies house ... i traced the wires and it has a harness that plugs in like the tors or the ebrake thing ... i was wondering if it will still start with that unpluged... Quote
GleasmJA Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 the answer is no.... If you just unplug the connector it won't. You have to jump two of the wires together in that plug togather. On mine it is red and black... but it's also a '94 and only has two wires at that plug. Quote
