boonman Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 I am assuming that the machine wasn't running right before you messed with it, otherwise, there would be no need to mess with it. Right? Anyways, it sounds like you have something clogging up your jets. Or, perhaps your mixture screws aren't set right. These are the screws that do NOT have the locknuts on them. Screw them in untill they are seated. Do not tighten them, just untill they stop. Then, count the # of turns as you back them out and go 1 1/2 turns out from seated, and see how it runs. If it still runs like garbage, you will need to pull the carbs off and clean them. They may be dirty. if nothing else, you will will then be able to see what jets you are running. Edit, be sure the slides are in the proper carb. If you pulled them out, they could go in backwards. The cutaway on the bottom of the slides has to face the rear of the carb. Quote
fast@$$rider Posted July 10, 2006 Author Report Posted July 10, 2006 (edited) well i thought it was running good but it doesn't want to rev up and it boggs bad. Edited July 10, 2006 by fast@$$rider Quote
fast@$$rider Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 i got it to run somewhat it semms to hesitate a little bit to rev up fast and feels like it is only running on one cylinder at times then it will explode with power and lift the front wheels im not sure but i think the left cylinder is getting flooded out because the float is stuck on that carb. liquedfire Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 (edited) well take your carbs off pull your float bowls off blow in the fuel supplie tub and wit your hand push up on the floats see if it will keep air pressure if it doesint then u need new needle and seats( that will cause your flooding problem) second take both air fuel mixture screws and screw them in then back both off 1 and a half turns (i will have 2 find tune them when u get in runnin) make sure your float is shutting the fuel off when the float is level well its apart let your carbs sit in carb cleaner or thinner (make sure there are no rubber o-rings on the carb or u will need new one if they get put in the cleaner) clean your air filter and your air box also do a compression test well u are waiting for the carbs 2 clean and if u can change your reed gaskets update me after u have done this 9it should run good) hope this helps :ninja: Glenn Edited July 11, 2006 by liquedfire Quote
