awesomeame Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 could someone tell me what these wires are supposed to be for? they're disconnected and appear to be going to the carburetor. why would someone disconnect these? thanks --matt Quote
Hilarious Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Those would be plugged into the TORS units found on top of stock carburetors. TORS = throttle override system. I wouldnt be worried about them. If you run them down the frame and see where they go, you would find that they lead to a little box under the gas tank on the left side of the frame. You should remove it and toss it to the wind also. Quote
awesomeame Posted July 8, 2006 Author Report Posted July 8, 2006 what's the TORS supposed to do, like besides the obvious --matt Quote
Hilarious Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 The TORS is supposed to be a fail safe incase your carburetor slides get stuck wide open with the engine still running. Not a very fun experience especially with a banshee. Lol. The TORS seem to be more of an electrical nightmare than anything else. Quote
[email protected] Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 CUT THEM OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and use butt crimp connectors and seal the wires off and tape them forever to the wire harness !!!!!!! GARBAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
