platinumjason Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Just wondering if anyone runs stock carbs with CPI pipes and what you have for a setup. I had a motor problem a couple weeks ago and for some reason my right side piston burned up as you can see here. I was running 300 mains, 27.5 pilots and needle was at 3rd position I think. I was told that running the stock carbs with CPIs though I should be around 360 or 370 because of the way CPI's pull. Anyone that can shed some light on this so it dont happen again? wesw Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 try 4th clip and 340 and chop the plug it depends on your elevation and stuff most likely. 300 seems a bit lean for worked over shee. Quote

It depends but I would say a 340 -360 would get you in a safe range and work from there. Quote
platinumjason Posted July 5, 2006 Author Report Posted July 5, 2006 Yeah I think Im gonna start at 340's and go from there, dont want it blowing up again. As for elevation Im at 700-800ft. Quote
r/atvshee Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 (edited) i had stock carbs and cpi's not too long ago....my main was 340 and i was on the third clip ....i dont know what the air screw was, it was already dialed in so i didnt mess with anything but the needle :baseball_original: Edited July 5, 2006 by r/atvshee Quote
platinumjason Posted July 6, 2006 Author Report Posted July 6, 2006 alright cool, what elevation you at? Quote
race-a-holic Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 On my friend's banshee,I think the jetting is around a 350 or larger. Can't really remember.I know we installed a set of vito needles I had.I like the longer needles(toomey or vito). It has a F.A.S.T. dune/play port and even with stock carbs, that banshee is very impressive. Quote
