K&N CLAMP ON'S VS AIR BOX

is there that big of a difference between clamp ons and a air box with no lid and a pro design intake and a k&n filter? i know some people have said that on the dyno there is but thats with no wind the bike is at a stand still things are alittle different when its running down a trail and wind is swriling around.i want to hear from people who had a air box with no lid and a k&n filter then went to clamp on's.....

I think most just do it for running different pipes, although I have heard a few people say they notice a small difference.

POD filters are better IMO. The air box is just restricting more air flow to your carbs, and looks like ass. If you ride in wet or muddy conditions though you need it. I only ride sand so I just go with the pod filters.

pods are lighter and easier to work on them and your motor compared to box.

 

if your going thru a shit load of water i would say stay with the box. otherwise pods are nice.

tks guys.....sounds like many seem to install clamp on b/c its easier to work on .i don't run in wet trails or swamp the bike i don't know why anybody whould swamp a banshee...just trying to get some info if the pods are going to allow that much more air flow......
