Unless i'm mistaken isn't franklin and griffin in the same weight class? Mike Dude, I follow the UFC fairly close and know a bit about it but can never remember who is in what weight class... :: But maybe this will help... Franklin kinda looks like Jim Carey and Griffin looks more like a monkey-lol Your probably thinking of franklin though because he dominates allot of his fights.. Griffin is pretty badass as well but not NEAR as skill as Franklin.. Franklin is the shit, but im a huge Lidell fan Yeah they all do train hard but I have heard allot of guys say that, that is ONE of the things he is really known for.. Pushes past where most others train. In that fight with him against David Loiseau he didn't look THAT wore out even in the 5th round. He was a bit winded but most guys look like they are about to pass out after that much work. Who do you guys think could stand with Franklin??? I think he'll hold his title for quite a while.. In the Loiseau I liked the take downs that Franklin was performing. There where several where he just slammed him down. Like you I fugred Loiseau's elbows were going to be dangerous but I think Franklin fights a smart fight. Think thats one of the things I like about watching him. Some badasses get in there and just throw blows but Franklin watches and then picks the guys apart. I can't wait untill he fights next.. If its in Vegas Iam gonna try to get down there.. RIPPEN Quote
apbt549 Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 franklin is a very smart fighter he trains like an animal and liek you said he just starts to pick his oppenent apart.i like him b/c he also doesn't talk alot of shit like others he goes in the cage and kicks ass and lets that do his talking for him...... i also think hughes will have the belt for awhile the only person that might give him trouble will be george st. pierr .he has came along way.i don't see any one in franlins weight giving him trouble everybody he has fought its like they are not even in his class... my wife was going to buy me tickets to the show in vegas once but she said the tickets were like 700.00 a piece then we would have to fly from florida to vegas...........i am going to watch it tonite......i would like to see shamrock get some revenge but i don't think that will happen it would shock alot of people if shamrock kicks the shit out of tito..... He didn't show a whole lot last time he fought and I think Hughs would take his ass down so fast he wouldn't see it coming, then would just pound his ass out.. Hughs is just so damn strong I think its gonna take someone equally as strong to keep from getting tore up.. I know what your saying on the price of the tickets for the fight. Shits outta control.. Everytime I have looked I think it was anything from 100-1500 bucks per ticket and like you said, you have to get there on top of that. I just want to go once for the experience but when I do go Iam gonna make it count and go to see Franklin.. RIPPEN Quote
