96bansheepilot Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 well i guess my topic title explained my question. i have heard that if i am not using all of my gears then i need to go down a tooth on my front sprocket in order to use all my gears in the 1/8th. but then again, many people have told me to go up a tooth or two on the front because it will allow the bike to pull longer in the power band and acheive lower e.t.'s. is this accurate? [email protected] Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 have only been to the track a few times , regardless im into drags . Would think you would want to top the bike out in 6th to acheive the use of all your gear ratio. Id emagine you would have a better time using all your gears. Why not hit 6th if you have it !? gear it down IMO . really think NYUK could get you dialed in , hes a hardcore dragger with some serious setups. Shoot him a pm hes a stand up guy willin to help ya out. Quote
