I bought burgard a-arms about 2 weeks ago. I didn't realize you had to ream the spindles til after I bought them. ANYWAY-

I took them to my local machine shop and he said he didn't have the angle'd ream bit!? I don't know what to do. I was told to call someone that deals with suspension, but its starting to look bleak. Anyone reamed their own spindles before?

From what i read you can just order yamaha style joints to take the place of the honda style that they come with. Yes itll cost some more money but in the end you dont have to ream your hubs which means you stuck that way.

When I bought my LSR's years ago I had to ream out my spindles. The reamer I have is a # 2. Call Burgard see what reamer you need to use. If I recall, back then LSR used ball joints out of a Mazda truck. If the same number, Pm me your address and I will let you borrow it, but I would like it back asap since it costed me $70.00

I'll call tomorrow, didn't you use a drill press to do it?

ive never heard of an angled reamer before. just figured that since it spun, it had to be straight.

The Reamer is tapered at a certain degree to accomodoate the pitch in the ball joint. You can use a drill press if you like but make sure it is at low speed. Since you will be reaming in increments to get the best fit a regular drill will work fine.
