dj_diablo54 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I just got a new toy, I got a Jet boat from a guy I go ridding with he had to get rid of it cause the kids are starting to add up and needed a family boat. I am going to Laughlin next weekend and Tahoe for the fourth of July. I was just wondering if anyone knew about any permits or tags I needed. I have Seados and need to have tags for the lake we go to all the time just not sure if these places had the same thing??? Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 If the Seadoo's are two strokes, last I heard they won't allow two stokes on Tahoe at all. Just an FYI................... Quote
dj_diablo54 Posted June 5, 2006 Author Report Posted June 5, 2006 Ya I herd the same thing so I was not planning on taking them but did not know about the boat if needs a permit or if you can just go out and have fun, same thing with Laughlin/Havasu Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 As far as I know you don't need a permit on either lake. I know people who go both places and have never heard of anyone needing a permit. You just need to have the boat currently registered with DMV and you may have to pay launch fees to use the ramps, but other than that you should be fine.......... Quote
01bansheefox Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I have a jet boat in California and have never had to get a permit for anything. Quote

Well there is one lake I go that you need a permit to ride on the lake, not any other places but I just wanted to make sure cause the tickets are expensive. Quote
dogboystoy Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 Contact the DNR in that state or states and see what they say. Better yet, look online. Quote
