[email protected] Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Trying to tune a bike , that is lightly ported , lightly shaved 135psi, +4 timing, stock carbs , stock pipes ........ can anyone get me around a base line to start , im totally clueless only ran kehin in my time. What is a stock banshee jetted at, mains , pilots , clip setting , i am guessing thats my baseline...... would i go richer or leaner with porting on the main.... the stock pilots should do fine just maybe richen it up till shes a wee bit rich . can anyone clue me in on stock carbs Quote

dajogejr Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I would agree with the above... 2-4 sizes on the main with a K&N and no lid...and porting is the wild card... I went from a 330 main in mine to 350 with a cleanup port 4mil cub. It is possible you actually go DOWN a main size with porting, now that the engine is breathing more efficiently...but, 260 with no lid is most definately a safe starting point... Quote
