darius Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 hi, i'm new to the forum. i was just wondering if anyone here has the trinity stage IV kit on their banshee, and if they could possibley tell me the horse power increase. i was thinking about purchasing one for mine. thanks! Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 well i personally don't like trinity, but what is included in their stage 4 kit and what does it cost? Quote
Wallrat Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 From their website: This kit includes: Stage IV Exhaust System Stage IV Porting Cylinder Head Mod Gasket Kit 35mm Carburetor Kit Wiseco Piston Kit Is it worth the $1982 price tag? Not in a million years. Aside from their pipes, trinity has only impressed me with their ability to charge way too much money and actually get it! If you didn't go trinity, here's what it would cost you: Pipes - $600 porting - $300 shaved head - $50 tops gasket kit - $20 35mm carbs - $140 on ebay or $380 new intakes and filters - $170 (w/ billet intakes) piston kit - $130 Total: $1410 - $1650 Depending on the porting, HP would prolly be somewhere in the 50's. IamKazam Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 I agree with wallrat, trinity is way over priced when you can get the same/better parts and work done for a lot cheaper. Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 I paid 2300 dollars from F.A.S.T racing and got a whole setup for the 421 cub motor so for another 400 bucks you could ge that instead of crappy trinity. Quote
darius Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 well i'm really looking to add a good amount of HP to my banshee, i'd like to be able to easily beat my friends modded trx450r. any suggestions? Quote
Wallrat Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 What kinda riding and what's your price limit? Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Get a set of t-5's a coolhead and v-force3 reeds and a timing advance plate, i think you should smoke that honda piece of junk to top it off get a decent port job and tear him up. Call Jeff, FASTOYS is his name on here he can hook you up for an awesome price, no honda will ever touch you. Quote
darius Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 i wanna just haev an all around fast banshee.. good bottom, mid, and top. i'm willing to pay a good amount.. what are some good online stores i can look at besides trinityracing.com Quote
Wallrat Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 (edited) Magic Rocky Mountain ATV K&K East Coast ATV Wicked Passion Terrain plays a big part. If you're just drag racing on flat ground then go w/ motor mods and ignore the suspension. If you're riding on anything else, I'd definately consider upgrading the suspension even if it means not tapping into some of the potential on the engine. Its not very difficult or expensive to build a shee that will walk all over all but the knarliest of 450's in a drag. So I ask again, what kind of terrain? Any mud/water involved? What's he got done to his 450 (if you know)? What do you have done to your shee already (if anything)? Edited May 22, 2006 by Wallrat Quote
