EastCoast Banshee Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 (edited) I was wondering if anyone has cut the "Q" series silencers basically power core 2s with with some quieting baffle. I want to cut the whole section out bc first of all there long as hell and i really dont care for them to be quiet. Also i think i could actually open it up some. So basically what im getting at is does it hurt anything i dont see why it would i just like to check. Edited May 20, 2006 by EastCoast Banshee Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 well nvm i just cut them 4in shorter looks alot better and i cant wait to hear what they sound like Quote
Motoman991 Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 i have the old school power cores on mine, they were long as hell too and whenever i would go back to far doing a wheelie the mufflers would dig in instead of the grab hitting. i cut off 4.5 inches off mine, looks better and no more mufflers digging into the ground Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 UPDATE. Not only does it look better but after my first ride with them cut it seems to have picked up some bottom end. Also it sounds alot deeper but loud as hell. I had to tell my dad its been so long since hes herd it he forgot how loud it was. Heres a pic not the best but itll have to do. Quote
Bansh88 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Interesting. I dont think i've ever seen that. Compared to Toomeys, FMF silencers suck Quote
