endofitall9 Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 just bought a graydon 2 into 1 intake but it doesnt have a carb . I was thinking about getiing somewhere around a 38mm and putting on it. I'll be running it with Gorr woods port paul turner midrange pipes +4 timing 21cc domes in the noss head any input would be nice. Also does anyone know what other carbs or what would work good with this combo? Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 you have a little bit of a port and all the usual mods, I think the 38 would be a good carb to go with. Think about your going from two 26mm carbs to one 38mm carb. Quote
Wallrat Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I'm running a single 35 on my 4mm w/ dune port. The 38 should give you better top end but you might sacrifice some throttle response and it might be a little tougher to get the jetting dialed. But to answer your question, should work fine. Quote
endofitall9 Posted May 22, 2006 Author Report Posted May 22, 2006 that what i was looking for wallrat. Iwas wondering basically what the pros and cons may be: I'm wanting it to have good top with great bottom and still be snappy on the throttle, maybe 38 would be too big for what I'm looking for, tough rocky hill climbs, basically what you get when you ride in the mtns, but we still have a sand scene and alot of open fireroads, dont really know, never road a banshee with a 2 into 1 so maybe I'll have to tinker around a bit. thanks for the replys any more info would be great too. Wallrat Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I've got no complaints about mine. Doesn't feel like its lacking in any part of the rpm range. On the stock swinger my front end comes up in the first 4 gears on FLAT sand everytime it gets on the pipe. Its getting a +2 swinger as well as an extra tooth up front to try and make it a little friendlier to ride. Quote
endofitall9 Posted May 22, 2006 Author Report Posted May 22, 2006 sounds pretty mean....hopefully I can get mine dialed in it's been down for almsot a year and I'm tired of riding 4 pokes and hopefully wont have a problem beating a couple of cammed 450's Quote
