sheefreak Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Could be your clutch, axle bearings, front wheel bearings.... Need more info. Is it hard to push when not running? Does it wan't to creep forward when running and you have clutch pulled in? Quote
skyline_898 Posted May 17, 2006 Author Report Posted May 17, 2006 i accidentally started in 1s gear first and it moved forward a few inches. when i am in neutral and i shift into 1st, it doesnt roll any. It is just hard to roll forward and backward when i have the clutch in. I doesnt not roll, it just resists a little bit. Quote
sheefreak Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Sure your brakes arent hanging up? Take the chain off and see if it rolls easy. Quote
trail rider Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 sorry to bust in on this little argument, figured it'd be easier than to make another clutch topic. when I pull my clutch lever in, the bike still wants to roll forward and it gets worse when I rev it up. also when Im setting there (with clutch pulled in) I cant shift to neutral from 1st gear, the shifter moves fine, but its like it wont engage or something. I need a new clutch cable cause its stretched right now. and im thinking that the steel plates might be warped or burnt, which I think would cause the clutch to drag like it is. if I got a new clutch kit and cable would it also fix the problem where I cant shift from 1st to neutral, or do I need to adjust the screw thing for the shift shaft arm? and I also just got finished rebuilding the engine, new crank and topend, if this matters.
