cheezehead69 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 i have a stock shee that could use a new set of rings and pistons. should i go with a bigger piston and get my juggs bored. or should i stay with the stock size. and if i should bore them what is a good size to go to on a stock motor. Quote

cheezehead69 Posted May 1, 2006 Author Report Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) how come i wont gain any power. Edited May 1, 2006 by cheezehead69 Quote
8buck Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Well, you would gain a little, but it would be VERY little, you wouldn't even feel it. If you only bore one or two sizes up it is usually just to remove taper or scaring from the cylinder walls NOT to gain power. Now if you went with a "big bore" kit, that's a whole differant story. cheezehead69 Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 if i went with a big bore kit would i have to weld my crank and do a bunch of other mods like reeds cool head etc. Quote
