Fireroad Express Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 what is the difference between a keihin 34mm and 35mm pwk except for size of the carb bore? what does pwk stand for? Quote
blueshee03 Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 the biggest difference between the 34 pj and 35 pwk is the way the idle is set .the pj you set idle by turning choke knob and the pwk has a screw you set idling with.i ran pj's and ran pwk's ,they both work great.the pj series carbs are probally one of the best carbs there is for drag race in my oppinion.especially when set up on alky.then you have the pwk airstryker series that are an awsome carb .they differ from the regular pwk in that they have 2 fins cast in the inlet side that directs the airflow directly across the main jet and needle that helps atomize the fuel a little better, and they also have twice as many vents.oh and the pj uses an oval shaped slide and the pwk uses a flatslide. heres a link ,check it out :keihin carbs Quote
Fireroad Express Posted April 23, 2006 Author Report Posted April 23, 2006 good explaination. thanks for the help! will check out the site Quote
bkabina Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Only the pwk airstrikers have the fins and extra vents.Regular pwks do not.The PJ's in my opinion are crap compared to the pwks. The idle set-up is a joke to me. Quote
23champ Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 PWK's are a newer model than the PJ's. More technology went into making the PWK. PJ is still a good carb tho. Quote
