I am trying to sort all the parts out on my boy chinese mini, the kazuma 90.

I can't tell what size chain it is.

How can I tell the difference between the 420 and the 428 chains, I know it ain't a 520..

Do I measue the links somehow?

measure them with some calipers.

but i think chain sizing goes a lil like this. the "4"in 428 denotes the length between the links. i would assume measured from center to center of the rivet? the "28" is the width. if you'll lay a 520 and a 535 down youll notice that the 535 is wider. its accomodates a proportionally wider sprocket, mostly seen on sportbikes.
