98bonerSTOCKshee Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 I am trying to sort all the parts out on my boy chinese mini, the kazuma 90. I can't tell what size chain it is. How can I tell the difference between the 420 and the 428 chains, I know it ain't a 520.. Do I measue the links somehow? later, Chad Quote
racer Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 measure them with some calipers. but i think chain sizing goes a lil like this. the "4"in 428 denotes the length between the links. i would assume measured from center to center of the rivet? the "28" is the width. if you'll lay a 520 and a 535 down youll notice that the 535 is wider. its accomodates a proportionally wider sprocket, mostly seen on sportbikes. 98bonerSTOCKshee Posted April 17, 2006 Author Report Posted April 17, 2006 so would the 428 fit the 420 alright, jusy maybe alittle loose side to side.. Quote
