There will be two solenoids on top of the valve. One is for the icemaker & one is for the water dispenser. The icemaker one has the smaller (1/4") plastic line coming out the bottom. The water side usually is slightly larger (5/16"). Pull the wires off of the water solenoid coil, activate the dispenser & check for 110 volts. If you have voltage, the water valve is bad. If there is no voltage, check the freezer door switches. The door switches will stop the dispenser from working (safety feature) . It is VERY rare for the icemaker & water dispenser to quit at the same time-but it can happen. If you need any further help, send me a model number.
